LONDON MUSICK

In the continuation of his great project “Mr Handel’s Dinner” (recorded by Harmonia Mundi in 2019), the recorder player Maurice Steger, through a programme especially thought out for the Festival, is looking forward not only to paying tribute to a city – London – which has done a great deal for the development of his instrument, but also to share the stage with one of the most famous Baroque violinists of today’s scene, the British Rachel Podger. During her stay in the area, she will share her vast experience with the students of the Gstaad Baroque Academy, she who, in addition to attending the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, is a renowned teacher on both sides of the Atlantic, from the Guildhall to Juilliard School, as well as in Bremen and Innsbruck.
