This church, laid out in the shape of a cross, is a jewel of Romanesque architecture. It was built in the 11th century by monks of the Cluniac Bendictine order; the roof and tower are in typical Bernese Oberland style and date from the 17th century. The church and the adjacent castle are built on the foundations of the former monastery. Guided tours are available on the architecture and history of Rougemont.
