Maurice Steger and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra celebrate their joint 25th stage anniversary

Maurice Steger and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra are celebrating their 25th anniversary together on stage with a Swiss tour and several side trips to neighbouring German-speaking countries, which will take them to various festivals and historic concert halls throughout the season.

Maurice Steger made his debut with the ZKO in 1995 with Vivaldi’s Flautino Concerto and a world premiere of Naoki Kitaya’s Recorder Concerto, and countless joint concerts followed.

But the Dream Team has also realised projects during this period, such as the development of the KiKos (children’s concerts), the BaZ (Baroque in Zurich) concert series, the birth of the musical fairy tale Tino Flautino, the playing of historical instruments, the reorientation with early music programmes, world premieres, the encounter with many specialised artistic personalities and the confrontation with different musical styles, the joint discovery of outrageously good music from past centuries, the trying out of new concert formats or the recording of sound carriers.

And now they are celebrating with an anniversary tour – 3 concerts have already taken place and some are still to come, you are cordially invited to experience the programme with works by Bach, Pärt, Vivaldi and Mozart:
