We are delighted to be holding the Gstaad Baroque Academy this year from 26 August to 4 September in the beautiful village of Schönried in the Bernese Alps. The Academy cultivates early music at the highest level and is aimed at professional musicians, students â this year with two main classes recorder (Prof. Maurice Steger) and baroque violin (Prof. Rachel Podger) â baroque ensembles and in the Juniorâs section students from 11 to 18 years are taught.
This year, not all classes are open to the public, but we would like to invite you to attend the workshop concerts in the Hotel Ermitage and in the salon of the Rosey Camp, to watch the livestream or to listen to the baroque concert on 4.9. in the Romanesque church in Rougemont.
Applications for active participation have arrived from all over the world and we are happy to present this yearâs qualifying musicians:

This section brings together prize-winners from the youth music competitions in Germany, Austria, England and Switzerland. The Swiss Youth Music Competition Foundation is the host and we would like to thank the Ruth Burkhalter Foundation for its support.
