MAURICE STEGER conducts the ORCHESTRA DELLA SVIZZERA ITALIANA

In a highly acclaimed concert, Maurice Steger conducted the OSI (Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana) and placed Les Eléments, a Symphonie nouvelle by Jean-Féry Rebel, at the center of the program. The elements of air, fire, water and earth were also represented by other compositions: In addition to the wonderful Paris Symphony by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, an opulent Violin Concerto by Antonio Vivaldi (with soloist Robert Kowalski, violin) was also heard.

And the maestro also took up the recorder in two works, playing a concerto by Corelli on the flautino with virtuosic colorfulness and a Quadro by Georg Philipp Telemann in a communicative chamber music style.

The event took place in Lugano on January 25, 2024. A beautiful place in Italian-speaking Switzerland (see picture) that is well worth experiencing!
