For many years, they’ve been an integral part of the Festival family. Now, Zurich-born recorder virtuoso Maurice Steger and Basel-based harpsichordist Sebastian Wienand return to the mountains with one of their legendary fireworks of early music – brimming with flair, virtuosity, and sheer joy of playing. At the heart of their programme lies an exploration of the connections – often familial in nature, though not exclusively so – that have shaped some of the most beautiful chapters in the great book of music history. Among them are masterpieces for recorder by Benedetto Marcello and Giuseppe Sammartini, born of decisive encounters within their closest circles.***Seit vielen Jahren sind sie fester Teil der grossen Festivalfamilie.
