Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy
Dear friends, teachers, students, professors, staff and members of the GSTAAD BAROQUE ACADEMY
It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you that we are forced to cancel all activities of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy for this summer 2020. I am dismayed and disappointed not to be able to hold the Gstaad Baroque Academy from 29 August to 5 September, as we note the Federal Council’s understandable decision with understanding and regret.
We are working on organising a master class this late summer, albeit in a modified form. We have also integrated within the GBA our esteemed young guests of the SJMW, for whom other possibilities are still open. I would at best contact some of you in the early summer, as I am trying to involve the lecturers of the junior department in some form and to hold this master class in late summer 2020.
For today I am unfortunately forced to cancel your participation in our great project. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your enthusiastic and friendly cooperation, support, work and help.
