We warmly wish you a wonderful Advent season and invite you to attend the December concerts with Maurice Steger. The recorder virtuoso has put together wonderful programmes and performs with outstanding musical personalities and friends.
On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, you can experience the duo Maurice Steger & Sebastian Wienand in Seon (CH) with a recital of Italian works from the Baroque era. Sunday, 7 December in Seon, Aargau.

An outstanding dream team featuring the three internationally sought-after virtuosos Maurice Steger, Avi Avital and Sebastian Wienand present a richly varied Baroque programme on recorder(s), mandolin and harpsichord. In it, they “sing” arias by Johann Sebastian Bach, appear both soloistically and in concertante works by Antonio Vivaldi, Domenico Scarlatti and others, and browse through the musical family albums of the Bach dynasty. Thursday, 11 December at the Tonhalle St. Gallen.

In the third week of December, Maurice Steger will once again perform in the Turkish capital Ankara. This time, he conducts and plays together with the Orkestra Akademik Başkent in the delightful programme *In the Gardens of Venice*, featuring works by Locatelli, Vivaldi, Geminiani, Brescianello and Sarri, in the renowned CSO Concert Hall. Thursday, 18 December in Ankara.

Together with the YOFIN Baroque Ensemble — comprising Konstantin Timokhine, baroque horn; Stefano Barneschi and Kazumi Suzuki, violins; Elzbieta Stonoga, viola; Martin Zeller, cello and viola da gamba; Rosario Conte, theorbo; and Daniela Timokhine, organ — the recorder virtuoso performs a festive Christmas programme in this rarely heard and colourful instrumental constellation. Sunday, 21 December at the Altstetten Church in Zurich.

The grand finale of 2025 will be celebrated by Spanish soprano Nuria Rial, violinist Dmitry Smirnov, the Kammerorchester Basel and Maurice Steger with their programme *Baroque Birds*, which brings together instrumental and vocal highlights of the Baroque era. The programme includes works by Bach, Händel, Vivaldi, Scarlatti and other Italian masters, inspired by the joyful chirping of birds. Tuesday, 30 December at the KKL Concert Hall in Lucerne.
